Care Guide
— Jewellery Care
Made for Everyday Wear
Senhora pieces are crafted in BIS-hallmarked 925 sterling silver to be worn and loved daily. A little care keeps them looking as beautiful as the day you got them.
Everyday Care
Last On, First Off
Put your jewellery on after makeup, perfume and hairspray — and take it off first before bed, the shower or the gym.
Keep It Dry
Remove pieces before bathing, swimming or washing hands. Water, soap and chlorine speed up tarnish and dull the finish.
Avoid Chemicals
Perfume, deodorant, lotion and sanitiser are silver's worst enemies. Let them dry fully before wearing your piece.
Skip the Sweat
Take jewellery off during workouts, cleaning or cooking. Sweat and heat tarnish silver and wear down plating faster.
Wipe After Wearing
Give each piece a gentle wipe with a soft cloth after a day's wear to remove oils before storing it away.
Store It Right
Keep pieces in an airtight pouch or box in a cool, dry place. A silica-gel pack inside soaks up moisture and slows tarnish.
Care by Material
925 Sterling Silver
- BIS-hallmarked sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time — this is normal, not a defect.
- Wearing your silver often actually helps, as the natural oils on your skin keep it bright.
- Restore shine with a soft silver-polishing cloth using light, straight strokes.
Rose Gold & Gold Finishes
- Rose gold, gold and tri-tone pieces are plated over sterling silver — the colour layer is delicate.
- Clean only with warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid silver dip, jewellery cleaners and antibacterial soaps, which strip plating faster.
- Keep away from water, friction and chemicals so the finish lasts as long as possible.
Pearls & Stones
- Pearls are soft and porous — keep them away from perfume, chlorine, vinegar and cleaning solutions.
- Wipe pearls with a slightly damp soft cloth and air-dry; never soak them or use silver dip.
- Wear pearls often — your skin's oils keep them from drying out. For CZ stones, clean gently and avoid knocks that loosen settings.
Cleaning at Home
Soft cloth first
For light tarnish, buff the piece with a clean, dry microfibre or silver-polishing cloth.
Mild soapy water
For plain silver, dip briefly in lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap. Skip this for pearls and plated pieces.
Gentle pat-dry
Pat completely dry with a soft cloth. Trapped moisture is the fastest way to bring tarnish back.
Store airtight
Once fully dry, return the piece to its pouch or box, away from air and humidity.
For stubborn tarnish on plain silver, a soft paste of baking soda and water works gently — never use scrubbing brushes or abrasive cleaners. Heavily tarnished or intricate pieces are best left to a professional.
Do's & Don'ts
